You can choose any variety of pears you like for this little recipe, just as long as they are ripe and juicy. Grilling them with a drizzle of olive oil brings out their wonderful flavor. You can add each half (you can also slice it) on top of individual plates of fresh greens, with just a sprinkle of goat cheese and chopped walnuts, a drizzle of your best balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil and you will transform the simplest fresh salad into a delightful elegant dish!

I made this last night. I squeezed lime on, and sprinkled with cinnamon before grilling. Everyone loved them.
That sounds wonderful! I am so glad!! 🙂
I have been experimenting with more grilled vegetables and fruits of recent. Wanting to expand ways of enjoying fruit on the grill and I love fruit in salads. I as well served the pear over fresh greens with walnut and goat cheese. I had a balsami glaze that I brushed the pears with coming off the grill and served with balsamic dressing. It was the dish of the night and not a morsel was wasted. Thanks
OH MY GOODNESS WOW Mark!!!! I LOVE IT!!! 🙂
I took the suggestion of serving these grilled pears over greens and goat cheese with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Delicious. I served this lovely salad as a side dish with grilled salmon. I love your website! I have tried several of your recipes and have enjoyed all of them. I really appreciate the emphasis on fresh whole foods and the simplicity of preparation in your recipes.
Thank you so much Nancy, I absolutely LOVE to hear that!!!
