The rich almond flavor in this French toast gives it just the perfect touch! I make it with a wholegrain bread (click here for the one I like best) that is high in fiber, low in salt, low in sugar, and has no partially hydrogenated oils (even has lentils, and you know how I feel about those!). This recipe is just enough for 2 slices, and I mean it, the bread will soak it up to the last drop. I like to serve it with fresh strawberries but any other fresh sliced fruit will also do….so YUMMY!

This sounds yummy and I am going to try it! The link to your favorite whole wheat bread is broken. Do you mind sending it to me?
Oh my Goodness Christian, you are right, my apologies, I corrected it in the text of the recipe but here it is again for you: https://www.alvaradostreetbakery.com/breads/Sprouted%20Wheat%20California%20Style%20Bread I love its nutrition and texture for this recipe and I’d love to hear your feedback once you try it!

I’m in the process of changing my diet after watching your husband on the video series Awakening from Alzheimer’s. I saw this recipe, and was wondering if I can make enough to last me a week to have for breakfast as I change my course in eating? This way I can heat then in the toaster before work.
Hi Debbie, good for you! I don’t think it will easily go in a toaster but you could do even better with oatmeal every day, either made ahead or on the spot–it takes all of 4 minutes– https://cuisinicity.com/simply-oatmeal/ or any of my power shakes on the spot or the night prior: https://cuisinicity.com/cocoa-oat-almond-shake-vegan/ I hope this is a little helpful!
Thank you so much. Looking forward to this journey 🙂
Welcome Debbie! I’ll be right by your side!! 🙂
