Are organic soy products dangerous to our hormonal Health or to our health in general?
The answer is no, unless you are allergic to it, of course! My husband elaborates a little here:
Are organic soy product dangerous to our hormonal balance and health? posted by David L. Katz, M.D., M.P.H. on Vidoyen.
Here is a good source discussing the effects of soy on our health, from the Harvard School TH Chan School of Public Health, entitled “Straight Talk about Soy”.
I particularly like this thorough article written for a lay-audience, entitled: “The Truth about soy-what does the Science actually say?” because it addresses many different aspects of the questions that have been raised about soy.
Hi, I love tempeh and miso! Unfortunately I stopped eating these foods because I’m hypothyroid. I wished that Dr. Katz would’ve addressed that issue with soy and hypothyroidism.
But fortunately I’ve never been a big meat eater, I love wild salmon and lots of beans!
Catherine…I enjoy your recipes immensely! Thank you for sharing.
Hi Catherine,
Very good post! One question from a European who doesn’t use quarts or cups to measure. How much is a portion of soy in grams of tofu/tempeh or millilitres of milk? I wonder particularly as different brands of tofu have more/less water and protein!
Thanks!!!
