Earlier this year, I was honored when Detroit National Public Television asked me to put together a little cookbook of some of my favorite Cuisinicity recipes as part of their special programming membership campaign featuring my husband, “Disease Proof With Dr. David Katz” premiering on PBS stations around the nation.
“Cuisinicity- Love the Food that Loves you Back” is a special paperback booklet collection of over 50 delicious Cuisinicity recipes along with beautiful photos, exclusively available through this Public Television campaign.
Because so many of you have asked me if they could have a little piece of the Cuisinicity website right in their hands the good-old fashioned way, I decided, in the spirit of this holiday season, to give away 10 of my own autographed copies to a select few, to say thank you!
Here is how: Starting today, I will check for my most prolific commenters and followers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Pinterest. So, if you have tried a recipe you absolutely loved, or if you particularly appreciated a blog, tip , interview or program I posted over this last year, or enjoyed one of my special cooking videos in my kitchen, I would love to hear from you!
All you need to do is write a little review or just a comment or rate all your favorite ones with stars right here on Cuisinicity.com and please share with your friends and loved ones (You can click right on the “Share button” on the e-mail I just sent you to make it quick & easy). Let them know too that I will also pick 5 of them to thank them for becoming new subscribers.
Just make sure that you have subscribed to the Cuisinicity e-mailing list and sign up (if you haven’t already!) right on the homepage by December 15th. That’s when I will choose from my Cuisinicity.com followers and email them privately to get their home address so I can send it in time for Christmas.
As you know, I think of my Cuisinicity website as a way of paying it forward to all of you and it truly means so much to me just to know that you love it and that you put it to good use in your own kitchen for all those your cherish most, just as I do!
So, to all of you who have been such loyal followers, a hearty “Happy Holidays”and may your holiday season be filled with Loving Food that Loves You Back!
Hey there! I’ve been following your blog for some time now and finally got the bravery to go ahead and give you
a shout out from Austin Texas! Just wanted to mention keep up the excellent job!
Thank you so much! What a lovely thing to say, I am glad you spoke up, it made my day!! 🙂
I would love to have your cookbook. I’ve tried many of your recipes in the last year and they are always delicious, nutritious, and highly complimented when I bring to a potluck! I’m not sure I can name an absolute favorite recipe, but it might be a toss up between the almond chocolate chip cookies and the halibut in wine tomato broth because both are SO fast and easy, yet taste much more involved! I have to say, I always like to try a recipe out myself before I bring it to a social gathering, but after trying a few of your recipes in my own home, I quickly learned that your recipes will undoubtedly be a crowd pleaser, so now I pick a recipe and make it for others without hesitation!
Is your recipe book available for sale now – or will it be in the future?
Many thanks for sharing your talent and passion with us!
-Tanya
Oh my goodness Tanya, I just found out that you are getting your doctorate in Human Nutrition Foods & Exercise and I am truly honored! I love that you have come to trust my recipes so much! As a scientist myself (ions ago, but it’s still in me!), having my “data” replicated is one of the most meaningful compliment I could receive! Thank you much for your lovely note! I LOVE it! 🙂 The book is only available through the PBS campaign, but who knows, if I continue to get wonderful feedback such as yours, I may just write one next year! Again, my sincere thanks for your support. It means so much to me!
I don’t qualify for the cookbook since I work with you Catherine, but I must say that your talent at photography equals your chef talents, so your fans are in for a real treat, having this cookbook at their fingertips! What a great and thoughtful gift. I’ll share your post with my friends on Facebook.
Thank you so much Donna!!! What a lovely thing to say!! I couldn’t do it without you!
Could there be anything cozier, more delicious and nourishing to the body and soul than this gem of a cookbook this holiday season? I’m not the most talented in the kitchen, but Cuisinicity helps me feed myself in simple and yummy ways.
Awwww THANK YOU my Rebecca!! What a wonderful thing to say!!! YOU are so just delicious!!
Oh, my! There’s no way I could pick just one favorite recipe. I’d start with the obvious, your luscious breads. There’s nothing like the scent of baking bread wafting through the house. But then, I must mention your love of lentils and how you’ve taught me to sneak them in to everything from meatballs to milkshakes. And, tomatoes, juicy tomatoes. Caprese salads and tomato sauces and…See?!? I could go on and on and on…did I mention your soups?
WOW Kelly!!! hurrayyyy! Your note filled me with joy this morning!!!! I can almost hear you say it, you are so full of enthusiasm!! Thank you so so much!
Such a wonderful addition to any kitchen!!! I love your recipes, the love and flavor and nutrition in every dish, and… you!!! 🙂
Thank you my sweetie!! I know you’ll put it to good use! I love you!
Just wanted to thank you for the time and effort you put into your site. Having found
I am now diabetic, I was looking for recipes that would be a good start in taking more
care in what I eat. Your site was one of the first I found, and stopped looking after I found
it. Quinoa has become a staple in many of my meals! thank you again.
Rose, I am so glad you like it! Thank you for your trust in me, I take it very much to heart! Quinoa is such a wonderful addition, I am delighted to hear that!
How fun!
I love your recipes and appreciate your positive approach to a healthy lifestyle.
As a mother of three (ages 20, 17, and 3 not a typo) I most appropriate your beautiful example of how to feed your family food that is delicious and nutritious. Thank you !
Wow Kristin! You have your hands full! (I love that you specified it was;t a typo!!) I am delighted to make a small contribution to your busy household!! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment!
Hi mom! I don’t necessarily need the recipe book, as you, the creator of cuisinicity, are the one who does the cooking in our house. Nevertheless, I want to comment on how much I love your food and really appreciate the time you put in to making sure the food is nutritious enough for my growing body. The egg tortilla is one of my favorites and if there are any more potato-based recipes you have in mind I’d love to see them!
Hey Gabe, my man!!! Thank you for the great comment and thank you for helping me out in the kitchen with the cooking and the filming !! LOVE IT!! Tonight I am making a new Moroccan vegan stew I just created that has potatoes as one of the ingredients and I have the feeling you are going to love it!
I love you
Mom
Hi Catherine! I am over joyed you have a cookbook. I have copies of your recipes all over my kitchen. Some have even been found in my living room. I love how easy these recipes are to make, how you talk about them & your family, how you tell us where to get some of the unfamiliar ingredients. I’ve been cooking & baking all my life and I love experimenting. This morning I make Simple Apples & added nutmeg. I am also thinking of adding Allspice. I have already shared your recipes friends. I never stopped cooking but I did stop baking as much, the passion was gone. I want to re-Thank you for igniting my passion for cooking & baking.
YAYYYY Tracey!!! That makes me so happy! I have so enjoyed all your comments everywhere on Cuisincity! There is no question you are one of my most prolific commenters and I am always so excited when I see your name appear on my website! I am honored to have been a part of re-igniting your passion for cooking and baking. It is the BIGGEST compliment anyone could give me! Thank you thank you!!!
Thank you so much for the kind words. Your site is my very very favorite!
Madame,
Mme Nata
Madame Nata,
Catherine
I use your website all the time. I would love to have your cookbook to just have on hand when I’m craving one of your delicious recipes! What a kind offer for the holidays!
My sweetest Valerie!
It’s so nice to see your comment and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you are getting so good in the kitchen! I created this website for you and your siblings so it truly fills me with joy and pride to pass it on to you and I will personally put one in your stocking! No worries I have put aside 5 extra ones just for you guys!
love,
Mom
It’s so wonderful that you have done a cookbook, and are offering some as gifts. I read all your posts when I see mention of them on Facebook or my email. I especially enjoy the vegan recipes. Thank you for all you do! Wishing you peace, joy and family togetherness always, but particularly now during the holiday season.
Linda,
It is truly my pleasure! I always love seeing your comments on Facebook too! As promised, I am in the midst of creating a lot of new vegan recipes which I will share, hopefully before the end of the year. I think you are going to LOVE them!! I wish you and your family a happy holiday!
with love,
Catherine
I love your recipes. Many have become my go to’s….I like that you always take the time to respond to your followers personally. For me that makes the recipes that more special. Thanks for loving us all with your recipes, (because cooking for others is an expression of love in and of itself) and now a gift. Thanks for paying it forward. Merry Christmas always…..
Thank you so much Tina!
What an absolutely lovely comment! It went right to my heart! I remember reading your many comments over the year and it’s such a pleasure to be able to share my recipes with people such as yourself-It makes it all worthwhile! Happy holidays to you and your family!
Healthy and Festive. Looking forward to participating.
I have added many of your recipes to my rotation. I was with friends for thanksgiving in California and made your flour-less chocolate cake in thier home. A hit!. Love the decor above!
Thank you Barbara! I LOVE to hear that! If I may ask you to just write a word on the actual page of the flourless chocolate cake, or nay recipe you particularly enjoyed that would be great! Are you on my e-mailing list so I can be sure to include you in the running?
I will make sure I am
I know I won’t write more quantity or quality than others, especially as I don’t write much at all on social media (I am more of a vicarious participant in what others are doing), but I’d love to have the cookbook–is there any way to purchase it?
Hi Martha!
It means that much more that you took the time to write just this! It tells me that you must have enjoyed my website and that,in and of itself, is very meaningful to me! Unfortunately, the book is only available through the PBS campaign so I suppose you could get it by supporting them directly https://secure2.convio.net/dptv/site/Ecommerce?store_id=1141&PAGENUM=4 It is quite expensive that way, but of course you would get so much more than just my book. I don’t know how long you have been a subscriber to Cuisinicity, but if, upon perusing my archives, you find some recipes or posts that you enjoy, you can always just write a word here and there, and who knows, you may just receive my little gift!
I look forward to your post. It is beautifully designed and displayed.
Barbara Flanagin
Thank you Barbara! I so look forward to your comments and I am just delighted to hear from you!
What a great contest! I would love a recipe book – I love the written word and it would be nice to have the recipes in my hand versus the computer in the kitchen! I have tries so many of your recipes – simple, delicious and so satisfying! I think I was one of your first fans! One of many now. I am looking forward to a new year full of Cuisinicity!
Hi Greg!
You are one of my most devoted Cuisinicity foodie and I was actually thinking of you when I wrote this post because you really have been there with me all along and I have looked forward and loved everyone of your comments throughout the year! I can’t tell you how gratifying it is to know someone is bringing my recipes to life in his or her own kitchen and this is my way of saying thank you! I look forward to sharing many more with you, knowing I will also add to that the pleasure of reading your wonderful comments!
