Simply Oatmeal
Serves: 1 serving
  • 1 cup water
  • ⅔ cup old-fashioned rolled oats (not the quick-cooking ones)
  • 1 Tbsp fine ground walnuts
  • 1 Tbsp raisins
  • ½ sliced banana
  • any sliced fresh fruit
  1. Bring water to a quick boil
  2. Add the rolled oats and let it boil uncovered for 1 minute (it will "foam", so lower the heat a little bit or just make sure it doesn't boil over).
  3. Turn off the stove and cover for 3 minutes or until ready to serve.
  4. Transfer to a bowl and add raisins, walnuts, sliced banana and cinnamon and top with any fresh sliced fruit.
