Basic Black Rice

Serves: 2 cups
  • 1 cup black rice (dry)
  • 2½ cups water
  1. Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan
  2. Add the black rice and cook, uncovered, for 16 minutes (most of the water will have evaporated).
  3. Turn off the stove and cover for 5 minutes or until ready to serve.
